Personal Thoughts:
I never thought I'd find myself grinning and snorting at poetry and yet I did just that when reading Pineapples in the Pool. I'’ll admit, I’m still new to poetry and I’m totally sure how I’m supposed to review it. But what I do know is how it made me feel.
It brought me joy, it brought me laughter and it while I read it last year it really brightened some quite grey days. There’s poems about Dev Patel, vaginas getting old, being too much and lots of love and longing. So much you can relate to.
Would I read it again? Yes. Poetry is something I want to read more of and this collection is certainly a lovely light one to come back to.
Read this? Plan to read it? I'd love to know! Let me know in the comments below.
