One sentence summary: A modern day Pride & Prrejudice retelling, just perfrect.
Overview: Set in modern day Brooklyn, where gentification is rife, the Darcy's move into the abondonned mansion down the street from the Benitez sisters. With college looming for our protagonist Zuri Benitez, the last thing she needs is pompus Darius Darcy and his equally irritating brother Ainsley getting in the way of hers and Janae's plans to enjoy their Summer together.
Personal Thoughts: I don't think words on a screen are enough to convey the joy this book brought me. As an avid P&P fan, Pride ticked all the boxes for me. I loved the attention to detail in the side characters, especially Mr Collins and Lady Catherine's equivalent. Everything was updated to current times with current issues perfectly. I even prefer fesity Zuri to the classic Elizabeth.
If you're a Pride & Prejuduce fan, this retelling is absolutely one that will bring a smile to your face
Would I read it again? Absolutely. A beautiful pick me up.
